Orchard Hill Purple is a southern New Hampshire heirloom variety of organic garlic that is most likely a German Red. It has a sharp but not overpowering taste and is great for dressings, marinades, and sautes. It also roasts well. It is a large bulb with big roots and a delicate neck. It sends up a scape and it is technically a stiff neck but it is usually dug with the softnecks. 4-9 large, well-formed cloves per bulb. $11/8 ozs.
